JOB DETAILS:

Padre Pio College of Health and Allied Sciences is seeking a Bursar to oversee the financial management of the institution.

Responsibilities or duties

To oversee the financial management of the institution, including budgeting, accounting, and reporting, ensuring financial integrity and compliance.

• Prepare and monitor the institution’s annual budget.
• Manage all accounting operations (accounts payable, receivable, payroll, petty cash).
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for management and auditors.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations.
• Oversee fee collection, banking, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Manage procurement processes and inventory of assets.
• Liaise with external auditors and implement audit recommendations.
• Supervise finance and accounts staff.
• Advise management on financial planning and cost control.

Qualifications or requirements 

Experience needed

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in an educational or public institution.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.).
• Analytical and numerical skills.
• Integrity and confidentiality.
• Leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent report writing.
