Responsibilities include:

  • Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process
  • Verifying transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, supplier’s ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger.
  • Balancing the general ledger to the trial balance stage.
  • Reconciliation of all general ledgers.
  • Maintaining all financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Entering data, maintaining records, creating reports, and financial statements.
  • Processing Accounts receivable and accounts payable on time.
  • Entering Journal entries and recording Payments.
  • Assisting with administrative duties, including the preparation of final returns and accounts.
  • Maintain a complete filing system to support financial records.

Requirements.

  • More than 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in accounting /business administration.
  • Excellent data entry skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks or any other accounting package will be an added advantage.
  • Experienced working in the tourism industry.
