HR Harmony, on behalf of our client, is seeking a skilled, friendly, and customer oriented Barista / Coffee Specialist to prepare high quality coffee and other beverages, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain cleanliness and efficiency within the café.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and serve high quality coffee, espresso based drinks, and other hot and cold beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other beverage preparation equipment.
• Welcome customers, explain menu options, recommend beverages, and handle customer requests professionally.
• Take orders accurately and process cash, mobile money, and other payments methods.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the café, including workstations, equipment, counters, and utensils.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies, and report stock shortages.
• Ensure consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and customer experience.
• Report equipment malfunctions and support routine maintenance.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Atleast 2-3 years of previous experience as a Barista
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, espresso machines, and grinders.
• Basic knowledge of latte art and different coffee varieties is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive, welcoming attitude.
• Basic mathematical skills and the ability to handle payments accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
