Background

Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort is seeking a qualified and motivated Assistant Purchasing Manager to join its growing hospitality team in Zanzibar.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of active work experience in the hospitality industry.
• Thorough understanding of the local Zanzibar market environment.
• Strong procurement, supplier management, negotiation, and inventory control skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Preference will be given to qualified local candidates, although all eligible applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement and purchasing operations for the resort.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment.
• Ensure cost-effective sourcing while maintaining quality standards.
• Assist in supplier evaluation and contract management.
• Maintain procurement records and reports.
