Objective of the Role: to support efficient and high-quality crop production through active monitoring of irrigation, climate conditions, and farm hygiene, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely reporting and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage computerised greenhouse irrigation systems and climate systems.
  • Conduct regular soil, water, and substrate sampling and coordinate external analysis.
  • Maintain accurate crop production records and climate data.
  • Supervise labour teams, plan work schedules, and ensure leave coordination.
  • Train staff on irrigation, climate systems, and workplace health and safety.

Qualification and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, Irrigation Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of irrigation scheduling, climate control systems and crop production processes.
  • Over 5 years of work experience in a similar role and in a green house setting.
  • Proven ability to supervise and guide teams effectively, ensuring high-quality performance.
  • Hands on experience with soil, water and substrate sampling and analysis.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with local and international teams.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in working with multiple related software with proficiency in data collection, analysis, and record keeping using agricultural software.
