JOB DETAILS:

Job Summary:

To provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care. The Assistant Nursing Officer is responsible for the administration of treatments, monitoring of vital signs, and ensuring the comfort and hygiene of patients.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including intravenous therapy.
• Monitor vital signs (Blood Pressure, Temperature, Pulse) and report abnormalities.
• Assist in medical procedures and wound dressing.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
• Ensure proper patient positioning and hygiene (bathing, feeding, bed-making).
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and nursing notes.
• Provide emotional support and health education to patients and relatives.
• Supervise the work of Medical Attendants and Cleaners within the ward.
• Triage patients in the emergency department.
• Ensure the safe handling and storage of medical equipment and supplies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Diploma in Nursing.
• Registration: Enrolled with the Nursing Council.
• Experience: Completion of internship rotation is preferred.
• Skills: Empathy, attention to detail, infection control knowledge.

Nyuma ya Chuo cha Kiislamu (MUM), Morogoro, Tanzania.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: associate degree
