The Assistant Nursing Officer provides direct patient care and assists senior nursing staff in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans. This role focuses on the immediate bedside needs of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Care: Administer medications, wound care, IV infusions, and vital signs monitoring.
Care Planning: Assist in developing individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessments.
Patient Hygiene: Ensure patient comfort, mobility, and hygiene (bathing, feeding, positioning).
Monitoring: Observe patients for changes in condition and report findings to the Nursing Officer.
Records: Document all nursing interventions and patient responses in medical charts.
Health Education: Educate patients and families on treatment plans, diet, and home care.
Emergency: Respond to medical emergencies and assist in resuscitation efforts.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Valid registration with the relevant Nursing Council.
- At least 1-2 years of experience.
Skills:
- Strong clinical observation skills.
- Empathy and compassion.
- Effective time management.
