Chuo Kikuu cha Sayansi na Teknolojia Mbeya (MUST) is seeking to fill one position for an Assistant Lecturer in Biology.

Responsibilities or duties

• To carry out lectures, conduct tutorials, seminars and practical for undergraduate programs;
• To prepare and present case studies;
• To conduct and publish/disseminate research results;
• To recognise students having difficulties, intervene and provide help and support;
• To participate in consultancies and community services under supervision;
• To attend workshops, conferences and symposia; and
• To perform any other duties that the relevant authorities may assign.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Holder of Master’s and Bachelor's Degrees in Biology, Forensic Biology, Medical Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Applied Biology, Zoology, Applied Microbiology with at least a GPA of 4.0 out of 5 in master degree and a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 in the bachelor degree. In addition, an Unclassified Master’s degree by thesis/research only shall be considered if the applicant has a pass grade and has published at least two (2) papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals in a relevant field.
