JOB DETAILS:

Duties and Responsibilities

i) To carry out lectures, conduct tutorials, seminars and practical for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes;

ii) To set, invigilate and mark undergraduate and postgraduate examinations;

iii) To mentor junior staff in relevant fields;

iv) To participate/contribute in curriculum development;

v) To participate in developing and managing various university activities;

vi) To conduct research and publish/disseminate results;

vii) To carry out consultancy and community services;

viii) To write teaching manuals and compendia;

ix) To supervise field practicals, undergraduate special projects, Masters and PhD dissertations/theses;

x) To attend/organize workshops, conferences and symposia; and

xi) To perform any work of the University as assigned by relevant authorities

Qualifications

Master of Science in Biochemistry and Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology or BSc. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology or BSc. in Chemistry and Biology or BSc. in Fisheries and Aquaculture or BSc. in Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries or BSc. in Biology or BSc.in Aquaculture or BSc. in Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences or BSc. in Marine Science. Applicants for this post must possess a minimum GPA of 4.0 or a B+ average at Master’s degree level and an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.8 from local or an internationally, reputable University recognized by Tanzania Commission for Universities.

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
