Responsibilities or duties

Infrastructure Section (Hardware and Networks):

• Conduct quality inspection of ICT equipment and repair as necessary.
• Carry out minor ICT equipment maintenance.
• Perform ICT infrastructure maintenance.
• Take security measures to protect ICT equipment.
• Inspect and identify equipment that requires maintenance.
• Provide support services to users of ICT equipment; oversee inspection and installation of new ICT equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor, consistent with their qualifications and field.

Information Systems Section:

• Conduct quality inspection of application programs and information systems.
• Make minor modifications to application programs.
• Take security measures to protect application programs and information systems.
• Provide support services to users of application programs and information systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned by their supervisor, consistent with their qualifications and field.

Qualifications or requirements 

To be employed, candidates must hold a Diploma in Computer studies in one of the following fields: Computer Engineering / Networking / Telecommunications and Electronics, or ICT Systems Maintenance from a Government‑recognized Institution/College.

• Diploma in Computer studies in one of the following fields: Computer Engineering / Networking / Telecommunications and Electronics, or ICT Systems Maintenance from a Government‑recognized Institution/College.
• Tanzanian citizen aged 18–35 years.
• Lawful holder of all submitted certificates.
• Two guarantors who are Public Servants.
• Not have previously been employed by any Public Institution after graduation.
• Foreign secondary education certificates verified by NECTA.
