Duties and responsibilities
The Assistant Curator II (Heritage Management) will be responsible for the following duties:
- Assist in the collection and acquisition of museum collections.
- Assist in storing and conserving museum collections.
- Assist in evaluating and reporting the status of museum collections.
- Participate in the preparation of displays and publicizing collections.
- Participate in the preparation of public education kits in the area of specialization.
- Execute the installation of exhibitions.
- Prepare and distribute publicity materials, exhibition catalogues, and displays.
- Prepare exhibition plans and reports.
- Liaise with stakeholders and organizations.
- Collect and evaluate data in the field of exhibition operations.
- Coordinate simple research and technical experiments for exhibitions.
- Prepare new designs and models for temporary, special, and permanent exhibitions, performances, and programmes.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants must be holders of a Diploma in Heritage Management from a recognized institution.
- Assist in the collection and acquisition of museum collections.
- Assist in storing and conserving museum collections.
- Assist in evaluating and reporting the status of museum collections.
- Participate in the preparation of displays and publicizing collections.
- Participate in the preparation of public education kits in the area of specialization.
