ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a qualified and detail oriented Assistant Accountant to support our Finance & Accounts team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, performing reconciliations, and supporting timely financial reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in maintaining accurate and up to date accounting records and financial transactions.
Prepare and process payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, and other accounting.
Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable activities, including tracking, recording, and follow-up of outstanding balances.
Assist in monitoring and recording company expenses and ensuring proper supporting. documentation.
Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules.
Assist with payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations where required.
Maintain proper filing and organization of financial records and supporting documents.
Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up on pending items.
Ensure accounting transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
Perform any other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.
Work with SAP system for recording transactions, processing entries, and generating financial reports.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
CPA (T) or progress toward CPA will be an added advantage.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Knowledge and experience in SAP is highly preferred.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle financial information responsibly.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
