Job Overview:
To gain practical experience in a manufacturing assembly environment by supporting the production line through various basic to intermediate assembly tasks under supervision, applying theoretical knowledge from their studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic assembly operations as assigned on the production line.
- Follow instructions from senior assemblers and supervisors precisely.
- Learn to use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely.
- Assist with material handling, preparation, and organization at the workstation.
- Participate in quality checks and maintain cleanliness in the work area (5S).
- Support other production departments as needed.
- Complete any training modules or reports required by the internship program.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a VETA program (in trades such as Welding, Mechanics, Electrical, etc.) or holding a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive, or related fields.
- Relevant VETA trades include: C3 (Metal Works), C8 (Motor Vehicle Mechanics), C9 (Electrical Installation), C12 (Welding & Metal Fabrication), T1 (Auto Mechanics), T2 (Electrical), T3 (Welding), T6 (Fitting), T7 (Metal Fabrication).
- Eagerness to learn and develop practical skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attitude, reliability, and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic understanding of technical concepts and safety awareness.
