Padre Pio College of Health and Allied Sciences is seeking to fill two positions for Animal Health Scientist.
Responsibilities or duties
To conduct scientific research, diagnosis, and surveillance of animal diseases to promote livestock health and public safety.
- Conduct laboratory and field research on animal diseases and zoonoses.
- Develop and implement disease surveillance and control programs.
- Analyze epidemiological data and prepare scientific reports.
- Advise farmers and stakeholders on biosecurity and animal husbandry practices.
- Collaborate with public health officials on zoonotic disease prevention.
- Evaluate the efficacy of vaccines and veterinary drugs.
- Train field staff and farmers on disease recognition and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with national and international animal health standards.
Qualifications or requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or related field.
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Knowledge of epidemiology and biostatistics.
- Data analysis software proficiency.
- Report writing and presentation skills.
Experience needed
Minimum of 3 years of experience in animal health research or field work.
