JOB DETAILS:

The Agricultural Field Extension Officer reports to the General Manager and is responsible for delivering extension services to improve agricultural productivity among union members.

Duties and responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate extension services in operational areas
• Provide agricultural training and advisory services to farmers
• Collaborate with TARI on model farm initiatives
• Disseminate agricultural research findings
• Promote adoption of improved farming practices
• Advise on seed selection and productivity improvement
• Collect and maintain agricultural data and pricing information
• Address farmer challenges and promote appropriate technologies
• Conduct soil quality testing
• Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

• Diploma in General Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: associate degree
