Background
GIZ Tanzania is seeking a qualified Advisor – Access to Finance to support the Employment Promotion for Women for the Green Transformation in Africa (WE4D) programme. The role focuses on improving access to finance for women-owned and women-led enterprises operating in climate-friendly sectors such as renewable energy, waste management, and sustainable agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Advisory & Programme Implementation
- Provide technical advice on the design and implementation of programme activities related to access to finance.
- Support the development of innovative financial solutions for small and medium enterprises, particularly women-led businesses.
2. Communication & Visibility
- Lead and coordinate public relations, communication, and social media activities to increase programme visibility and impact.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and dissemination of best practices.
3. Project Management & Coordination
- Collaborate with programme teams on technical, administrative, and financial implementation.
- Act as a liaison between GIZ, Tanzanian partners, service providers, and contractors.
4. Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee monitoring and reporting processes, including data management and documentation.
- Ensure all programme activities comply with GIZ standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education
University degree in Economics or a related field.
Professional Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in communication, including social media strategy and implementation.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Proven experience in improving access to finance for small enterprises.
- Demonstrated experience in business development service (BDS) design.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills in complex, multi-actor environments.
- High level of digital literacy and proficiency in modern digital tools and applications.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English and Swahili, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
