1. Background
The Norwegian Association of Disabled (NAD) is an independent human rights organization of persons with disabilities. Our vision is a society for all, where NAD has head office in Oslo, Norway and interests. Over the next five years, NAD will be country lead for the Tanzania Country Programme, which includes 5 Organizations, that will implement the project called Collective Action for Disability Rights (CADiR).
2.3 Administrative Assistant
Location: Zanzibar
Reports to: Country Director
2.3.1 Role and Responsibilities
- Administrative Assistant: To support Finance Officer in day-to-day administration work including handling petty cash book and expenses.
- Driver: To drive Organization’s Car and manage all the organization’s motor vehicle.
- Project Assistant: Support logistical support for project activities and coordination.
2.3.2 Qualifications
- Minimum of secondary school education.
- Valid driving license and proven driving experience.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, email).
- Good communication skills in both English and Swahili.
- Experience in office administration and logistics is an advantage.
2.3.3 Skills, Abilities and Attitudes
- Trustworthy, responsible, and well-organized.
- Safe and secure driver.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to support various roles when needed.
- Professional attitude, especially when dealing with partners and stakeholders.
