Job Summary

The Accounts Trainee will support the finance and accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company financial procedures. This role is ideal for fresh graduates seeking to build a career in accounting and finance.Africans & Diaspora

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing daily financial transactions and accounting records.
  • Support the processing of invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
  • Assist in bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports and spreadsheets as assigned.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Verify the accuracy of accounting documents and records.
  • Assist in maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other accounting-related duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Prior internship experience or up to one (1) year of experience in accounting or finance will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
