Vertex International Securities Ltd (Licensed Dealers of DSE | Investment Advisers | Fund Managers) is looking for a qualified and experienced Accountant to join their team.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and post accurate journal entries.
• Perform bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment processing.
• Prepare and file statutory tax returns (VAT, PAYE, withholding tax, corporate tax) on time.
• Process payroll and related statutory deductions.
• Ensure the company complies with the Capital Markets and Securities Act and the regulations, rules, and guidelines issued by the Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA).
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and compute depreciation.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with company financial policies.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized university.
• Professional Qualification: Must hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of working experience in an accounting or finance role.
