Our client, a well-established logistics, distribution, and manufacturing company, is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to grow within the logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain sector.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, and financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and intercompany transactions.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Handle tax compliance including VAT, income tax, and statutory returns.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities; analyze variances and trends.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant accounting standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting systems and procedures.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accountant or related role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP), financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally and other accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial analysis tools.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
