About the Role
This is a varied role that combines accounting with office management. You'll play an important part in the day-to-day running of the business by managing our finances, supporting our team, and helping ensure our operations run efficiently. No two days will be exactly the same and that's part of what makes this role exciting.
What You'll Be Doing
Accounting
- Maintaining accurate financial records and bookkeeping.
- Preparing monthly financial reports and management accounts.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconciling bank accounts and monitoring cash flow.
- Processing payroll and statutory payments.
- Ensuring compliance with TRA, NSSF, WCF and other regulatory requirements.
- Assisting with budgeting, audits and financial planning.
- Monitoring project expenses and supporting financial decision-making.
Office Management
- Keeping the office organised and running efficiently.
- Coordinating office supplies, equipment and service providers.
- Managing company records, contracts and filing systems.
- Assisting with procurement and vendor coordination.
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and general HR administration.
- Scheduling meetings, travel arrangements and company events.
- Providing administrative support to the management team.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is dependable, organised and enjoys taking ownership of their work. Ideally, you'll have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- A good understanding of Tanzanian tax and statutory requirements.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using accounting software such as Quickbooks, Sage, Tally, Xero or similar systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
