JOB DETAILS:
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled accountant to manage our day-to-day finances, inventory costing, sales tracking, and reporting. Our company deals in fresh and processed fish, and we use an ERP system to manage operations.
Responsibilities:
- Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, and cash flow
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Monitor stock levels and cost of goods sold
- Handle invoicing, customer payments, and supplier reconciliation
- Bank reconciliations and tax filings (TRA)
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting
- Must know at least one ERP or accounting system (ERPNext, Tally, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of VAT and tax compliance in Tanzania
- Detail-oriented and good communication skills
- Work closely with the sales and operations team
