Background

The AGI Construction Site Lead Lot 3 position is responsible for supervising and coordinating construction engineering activities for assigned project sections while ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. The role focuses on overseeing contractor performance, monitoring project progress, maintaining compliance with environmental and social requirements, and supporting successful project delivery through effective site leadership.

This position offers an opportunity for an experienced construction professional to lead engineering and construction activities on-site, working closely with contractors and project stakeholders to ensure quality execution, timely completion of works, and adherence to Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (H3SE) standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and monitor contractor engineering activities for Project Sections PS1 and PS2
  • Review detailed engineering documents prepared by contractors
  • Verify and assess contractor method statements before implementation
  • Monitor project schedules and ensure construction activities progress according to approved timelines
  • Track project progress and verify completed works against project plans
  • Review and verify contractor invoices based on completed work and contractual requirements
  • Ensure compliance with project environmental and social management requirements
  • Monitor contractor adherence to approved project specifications and standards
  • Support effective coordination between contractors and project stakeholders
  • Identify construction issues and recommend corrective actions where necessary
  • Promote compliance with project governance, quality, and operational procedures
  • Adopt and demonstrate exemplary Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (H3SE) behavior at all times
  • Support safe working practices and ensure contractors comply with all site safety requirements
  • Contribute to successful project delivery through effective site supervision and performance monitoring

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Previous experience in construction site supervision or project engineering roles
  • Experience managing contractor engineering and construction activities
  • Knowledge of detailed engineering reviews and construction method statements
  • Experience monitoring project schedules, progress, and contractor performance
  • Understanding of construction contract administration and invoice verification
  • Knowledge of environmental and social compliance requirements for construction projects
  • Strong understanding of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (H3SE) standards
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project priorities
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
