JOB DETAILS:

Role Purpose: Ensure smooth and accurate transaction processing, deliver positive customer experiences, and support supermarket operational compliance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scan/Input merchandise correctly; process diverse payments; issue receipts/invoices.
• Provide polite and responsive assistance; resolve minor customer issues; maintain checkout area order.
• Cash reconciliation; loss prevention; adhere to rules.
• Maintain checkout area cleanliness; report operational issues; assist with inventory checks.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Typically a high school diploma or equivalent. Basic literacy and numeracy (reading product labels, calculating change) are essential.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in retail/customer-facing sales.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, product knowledge appetite, and target-driven attitude.
• Comfortable with POS systems and basic MS Office/Google Workspace.
• Basic familiarity with electronic devices to quickly learn how to operate POS systems, barcode scanners, and payment terminals.
