VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
On behalf of the Institute of Rural Development Planning (IRDP), Law School of Tanzania, College of African Wildlife Management (MWEKA), Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy (MNMA), the Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI), Arusha Technical College (ATC), AND Mzumbe University President’s Office, Public Service Recruitment Secretariat invites qualified Tanzanians to fill 89 vacant posts mentioned below;

THE OCEAN ROAD CANCER INSTITUTE (ORCI).
The Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI) was established by the Act of Parliament No.2 of 1996.The Institute is a semi-autonomous organization which operates at “arm’s length” under the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The Institute has various roles which all stem on the main role of controlling Cancer in Tanzania. The Institute is currently looking for competent Tanzanian to fill the following vacancies;

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine dispensing of medicine as per doctor’s prescriptions.
  
• Prepare pharmaceuticals (compounding) for use in medical and nursing care.
  
• Provide medicine information to patients and health care staff.
  
• Provide ward pharmacy services.
  
• Educate public and patients on proper use of medicines.
  
• Provide information on reaction resulting from the use of medicine.
  
• Assists doctors, nurses and patients on medications.
  
• Perform any other duties as shall be assigned by his/her superior.
  

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Diploma in Pharmacy or its equivalent from any recognized institution. He/she must be registered with the Pharmacy Council of Tanzania.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

• All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania of not more than 45 years of age except for those who are in Public Service; 31

• Certificates from foreign examination bodies for Ordinary or Advanced level education should be verified by The National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) and National Council for Technical Education (NACTE);
• Certificates from Foreign Universities should be verified by The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU);
• Applicants with special needs/case (disability) are supposed/advised to indicate;
