We are a crop – trading company in Agricultural logistics based in Mtwara, committed to revolutionize the agricultural trade industry by connecting farmers with global markets, empowering communities and fostering sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- To operate Reach Stacker, Forklift, Empty Handler and other equipments to receive and load sea containers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload containers onto chassis, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing.
- Monitor gauges, inspect products, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment parts, and report any maintenance issues to the Mechanical Engineer-Container Terminal and site supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of container movements, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrate a high level of safety and process compliance, adhering to company and port safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with other team members and stakeholders, ensuring efficient container and products handling operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure optimal use of resources and minimal delays.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and productivity in the terminal.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma in Port Equipment and facilities Maintenance Management or relevant field.
- Certificate in Mechanical operator course.
- 3+ years relevant work experience equipment operation (Warehouse operations more preferrable).
- Any Certificate of Safety Training is an added advantage.
- A valid driving license
