SBC Tanzania Limited is a well-established and progressing multinational company that supplies soft drinks products nationwide. We have plants in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha and Mbeya. Currently our Dar es Salaam Plant seeks to urgently recruit qualified, experienced, and hands-on-skilled personnel to fill the following position:
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Supervises employees in a manufacturing: plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Main Responsibilities:
- May be appointed to lead a line production.
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production such as quality inspectors, machine operators, and Fillers operators.
- Plan and achieve the target production volumes for the Line by properly planning the availability of syrup, ensure movement of empties and organize optimum manpower required.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
- Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
- Implement HACCP for the plant.
- Implement the requirements for the AIBI audit.
- Responsible for achieving Quality Scores for the line in coordination with the QC Team for the respective line. To analyze and implement Corrective Action Plan immediately in case of any issues affecting the quality of the products.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of daily production - 58,000 ctns.
- Production and maintenance report - 100%
- To ensure production are within the std specifications 100%
Entry Requirements:
Direct Entry
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Chemical Engineering or a related field
- At least 4 years working experience in similar responsibilities.
