Palmpay is a Pan-African fintech company currently operating in Ghana, Nigeria and expanding to other markets in Tanzania. We’re reinventing the payments experience by making it easy and reliable for everyone to transfer money, pay bills and shop online.We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Senior Marketing Specialist will take ownership of planning and executing marketing events, developing high-quality marketing materials, and supporting brand consistency across channels. This is a critical role that bridges strategic planning with hands-on execution. The ideal candidate has experience in FinTech or financial services, is detail-oriented, and understands the nuances of marketing in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Event Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute in-person and virtual events including:
    • FinTech conferences, expos, roadshows, webinars, workshops, product launches, and partner events
  • Manage end-to-end logistics: venue selection, vendor coordination, budgets, branding, attendee management, follow-ups, etc.
  • Represent the company at events or coordinate internal/executive participation
  • Develop pre-, during-, and post-event marketing strategies (email campaigns, social media, PR, etc.)
  • Track event KPIs: lead generation, brand engagement, ROI, and conversion

Marketing Materials & Collateral

  • Develop and maintain high-quality marketing and sales materials:
  • Brochures, decks, one-pagers, infographics, whitepapers, banners, and video content
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to ensure brand consistency and compliance
  • Manage print and digital production timelines and vendor relationships
  • Maintain an organized repository of marketing assets for internal teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with product, sales, legal, compliance, and executive teams to ensure alignment on messaging and regulatory requirements
  • Support regional teams in customizing materials and events for local markets
  • Ensure all materials and messaging meet financial services regulations, including required disclaimers and legal approvals

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, including event planning and marketing collateral creation
  • Previous experience in FinTech, financial services, or regulated industries is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to plan and execute complex marketing events and trade show activations
  • Excellent project management skills with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Strong writing and editing skills; able to translate complex financial topics into clear, engaging language
  • Proficiency in tools such as:
  • Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, Asana/Trello, HubSpot/Marketo, Eventbrite, or similar
  • Familiarity with marketing compliance standards (e.g., financial disclaimers, disclosures, and data handling)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a team or mentoring junior marketing staff
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment
  • Vendor management and budget tracking experience
  • Knowledge of HTML/CMS platforms for minor content updates
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C FinTech marketing scenarios
