Job Purpose:

To design, manage, and interpret greenfields and brownfields exploration programs, leading to resource definition and drill target generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design exploration programs: geological mapping, geochemical sampling (soil, rock, stream sediments), and geophysical surveys (IP, magnetics, EM).
  • Supervise drill programs from target generation to final logging and sampling.
  • Conduct structural and alteration mapping, ore body modeling in 3D software (Leapfrog, Datamine, Micromine).
  • Ensure QA/QC of sampling and assay data; validate database integrity.
  • Prepare technical reports (internal and regulatory) and JORC/NI 43-101 compliant resource estimates.
  • Mentor junior geologists and field assistants.
  • Manage exploration budgets, contractor performance, and camp logistics.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Geology (Master’s preferred).

Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo., P.Geol., or EurGeol) – eligible or registered.

Experience:

10+ years in mineral exploration, with at least 4 years in a senior role.

Successfully advanced at least one project from discovery to resource definition.

Competencies:

Advanced 3D modeling and interpretation.

Strong understanding of deposit types (e.g., orogenic gold, VMS, porphyry copper, lithium pegmatites).

Remote team management and stakeholder liaison (landowners, government, JV partners).
