Background:

HR World Ltd, on behalf of our client in the Agribusiness industry, is seeking a qualified and proactive individual for the position of Seed Production Research Agronomist.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and improve current seed production practices to maximise yield and quality.
  • Benchmark yield and quality performance against industry standards.
  • Design, execute, and manage field trials and pilot studies.
  • Generate, document, and communicate research findings effectively.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and training to support production teams.
  • Lead data collection and analysis for both field and processing performance.
  • Guide production planning concerning G x E, planting dates, optimum splits, row ratios, and plant population.
  • Engage stakeholders on evolving production and regulatory practices.
  • Contribute to ISO and safety compliance in all activities.
  • Support producibility assessments for new hybrid product launches.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in the hybrid seed industry.
  • Licensing: Possession of a valid Seed Inspector’s License and a Driver’s License.
  • Skills:
  • Skilled in experimental design, data analysis, and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of ISO/Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong communication and leadership through influence capabilities.
