Job Summary:
The Sales and Reservation Intern will support the Sales and Marketing Department by assisting with the promotion and sale of air tickets, travel and tour packages, and managing client reservations. The intern will gain practical experience in customer service, booking processes, and travel operations, while contributing to client satisfaction and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Marketing Support:
- Assist in promoting and selling travel packages and related services.
- Support the sales team in achieving targets through client follow-ups and inquiries.
- Help maintain client relationships and participate in marketing initiatives.
2. Reservations Assistance:
- Assist in managing client bookings and itinerary planning.
- Help with confirming reservations for accommodations, flights, and other services.
- Update reservation systems and ensure accuracy under supervision.
3. Customer Service:
- Respond to basic client inquiries and provide travel information.
- Support in handling complaints and escalating complex issues as necessary.
- Follow up with clients for feedback and service satisfaction.
4. Administrative Support:
- Maintain organized records of reservations, client data, and transactions.
- Help generate reports related to sales and reservations.
- Ensure tasks are completed in compliance with company procedures.
5. Team Collaboration:
- Work with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas where appropriate.
6. Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
- Assist in collecting competitor and industry data.
- Provide input on service improvement based on market trends.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Education:
- A diploma or degree student/recent graduate in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
2. Experience:
- Prior exposure to customer service or sales roles is an advantage.
- Familiarity with reservation platforms or GDS (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre) is a plus. 3.
Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Eagerness to learn travel industry tools and systems.
4. Sales and Customer Service Skills:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support sales efforts and handle client requests professionally.
5. Industry Knowledge:
- Understanding of travel and tourism products, including destinations, accommodations, and transportation is a plus.
- Awareness of visa requirements, travel regulations, and itinerary planning is a plus. 6.
Personal Attributes:
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and a fast learner.
- Willingness to work as part of a team and under supervision.
- Positive attitude and ability to handle tasks responsibly.
Language Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication in English.
- Knowledge of additional languages is a bonus.

Lines of Communication
The Sales and Reservation Intern reports directly to the Station In Charge and works closely with the sales and marketing, operations, finance, and HR departments to support day-to-day activities and contribute to smooth service delivery.
