Background

To supervise the daily logistics, warehousing, and distribution activities within the Dar es Salaam hub, ensuring efficient, accurate, and cost-effective movement of goods from receipt to dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise warehouse staff (storekeepers, loaders, forklift operators) and daily activities.
• Plan and coordinate inbound (raw materials) and outbound (finished goods) logistics.
• Ensure accurate receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch of goods using FIFO/FEFO principles.
• Maintain high standards of warehouse safety, security, and housekeeping (5S).
• Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation with system records.
• Coordinate with transporters and 3PL providers to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Prepare and analyze logistics performance reports (OTIF, damage rates, warehouse productivity).
• Ensure compliance with customs and transport regulations for local distribution.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse/logistics supervision, preferably in FMCG.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control.
