Job Summary

EngenderHealth works to improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes through evidence-based programming, gender-transformative approaches, and strong partnerships. Effective communication and knowledge management are critical to amplifying program achievements, strengthening learning, and enhancing organizational visibility.

To support documentation, learning, and digital visibility, EngenderHealth seeks to engage a temporary Knowledge Management (KM) Officer for an eight-month consultancy. The KM Officer will support storytelling, social media management, knowledge product development, and coordination with programme and regional teams. The role will also provide support in managing the Country Representative’s social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Development & Documentation

  • Develop high-quality success stories, lessons learned, best practices, abstracts, and technical briefs.
  • Document program achievements into engaging, user-friendly knowledge management products.
  • Support the development of newsletters, program snapshots, and other communication materials.
  • Maintain organized archives of photographs, videos, and storytelling assets.

2. Internal Coordination & Learning

  • Serve as a knowledge management focal point between the national office and regional or implementation teams.
  • Collect field updates, human-interest stories, and program content from regional teams.
  • Support documentation during events, learning sessions, and field activities.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across programs and communication platforms.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all content aligns with EngenderHealth branding, safeguarding, and communication standards.
  • Edit, proofread, and review materials prior to publication.
  • Maintain an up-to-date repository of knowledge products and learning resources.

4. Social Media Management

  • Manage and update EngenderHealth social media platforms, including Twitter/X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Support content management for the Country Representative’s social media pages.
  • Develop and implement social media content calendars aligned with program priorities.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and provide recommendations to enhance reach and performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in communications, knowledge management, social media management, or program documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality success stories and technical content.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong coordination, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Added Advantages:

  • Photography skills and experience capturing high-quality visual content.
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva).
  • Basic video editing skills.
