Contribute to the design and planning of WASH technical program 15%

• Identify and analyze relevant underlying WASH-related causes of poor child well-being outcomes to understand current risks and vulnerabilities, especially for most vulnerable children
• Support the integration of WASH programming with other sectors for collaborative impact and coordination
• Consult on the development of WASH technical program design and planning those feeds into the national WASH strategy/plan
• Prepare detailed implementation plans for sanitation and hygiene
• Develop budgets for sectoral initiatives

• Oversee compliance with technical aspects of donor and grant requirements through appropriate tracking of detailed implementation plans, addressing issues in a timely manner
• Lead in the selection of various approaches for sanitation and hygiene, appropriate to the local context
• Monitor the WASH program performance, particularly sanitation and hygiene against budget and compliance to donor requirements and contractual obligations Conduct regular spot-checking of WASH intervention documentation and project sites to ensure implementation quality and compliance to established standards, addressing issues as appropriate

• Support WASH landscape analysis at the national level to inform the national strategy, and technical program development process
• Utilize data from landscape analysis to describe trends in risk factors for poor WASH among key population groups and most vulnerable children
• Track WASH (sanitation and hygiene) program progress toward targets through the ITT and other indicators, adjusting where necessary to attain programmatic goals
• Utilize field data to write reports and contribute toward learning and quality improvement
• Support the capture and sharing of lessons learned stories and good practice.

• Support research projects to explore program quality and efficacy, and to test new approaches and innovations

• Support the Grant Acquisition Management (GAM) team in the development of high-quality program/project proposals to meet required fundraising efforts
• Support accountability tracking of WASH specific grants
• Track sector-specific expenditure
• Support procurement and distribution of necessary materials

• Build and maintain positive relationships with national-level stakeholders involved in WASH in order to contribute effectively to national-level dialogue, policy development and action
• Coordinate with national-level authorities to assess WASH intervention (sanitation and hygiene) options, in alignment with government and global standards
• Work with government and national-level WASH partners to secure agreements for World Vision’s WASH interventions particularly sanitation and hygiene.
• Participate actively in external networks to explore and learn about emerging technology and other WASH innovations, and adapt WASH programming accordingly
• Represent WV in WASH cluster meetings and coordinate with other development agencies and national-level WASH implementing partners to increase effective collaboration, prevent duplication, and identify remaining gaps

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Required Professional Experience

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in WASH Software implementation Experience:
• Preferred: 3 – 4 years WASH software experience in a large International NGO

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Behavior Change, Social Sciences or other related field or equivalent experience Registered and Licensed with Environmental Health Practitioner Council

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
Postgraduate or master’s degree in WASH-related field, Behavior Change, Social Sciences, or another related field is highly preferred

Another additional knowledge
Partnering Grant writing Certification or documented experience in various behavior change approaches

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
Work
environment: Office-based some travel to WVT field offices

20% Domestic/international travel is required.
