Role Overview
Inspire HR Consultancy On behalf of our client, a group of companies in logistics, distribution, and trucks & parts business We are seeking for Head of HR, to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the HR function across a group of companies
Key Responsibilities
~ Develop and execute HR strategies that support the overall business objectives of the group of companies.
~ Provide leadership and direction to HR teams across multiple businesses, ensuring consistency in HR policies and practices.
~ Oversee recruitment, talent management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
~ Manage payroll systems and ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with statutory requirements.
~ Build and maintain strong relationships with trade unions and employee representatives.
~ Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labour laws, regulations, and industry standards.
~ Develop performance management systems to drive accountability and employee productivity.
~ Support leadership teams with organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
~ Drive initiatives to foster a positive organizational culture, employee engagement, and retention.
~ Prepare and present HR reports and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
~ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline, MHRM,MBA or related field will be an added advantage.
~ 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
~ Proven experience managing HR operations across multiple companies or business units.
~ Strong knowledge of Tanzanian labour laws, HR best practices, and regulatory frameworks.
~ Experience working with trade unions and managing collective agreements.
~ Solid experience in payroll management and HR information systems.
~ Professional certification in HR (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, HRCI,PHR/SPHR), CHRP ) is highly recommended
~ Experience in logistics, distribution, or automotive/trucks & parts industries will be a strong
