Job Description:
Optifirst is seeking to employ an HR Officer and Admin with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation and demonstrate strategic and commercial insight into labor processes, with the ability to negotiate diplomatically. Success in this role requires excellent organizational skills, strong time-management, and the capacity to multitask efficiently in a dynamic environment, along with remarkable conflict management and decision-making abilities to ensure employee compliance.

Key responsibilities include preparing job descriptions, managing the employment process, orienting and training employees, and monitoring performance. The HR Officer will also be responsible for ensuring employee well-being, overseeing health and safety, implementing staff development procedures, providing policy counseling, and meticulously managing payroll and benefits administration. This role involves communicating with staff on performance issues and maintaining accurate employee records in both electronic and digital formats.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources
• Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in human resources
• Experience as a Skills Development Facilitator (advantageous)
• Able to engage in meaningful negotiation and resolution
• Knowledge of employment legislation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Protecting the interests of all employees
• Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good time-management skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong conflict management and decision-making skills
• Strategic and commercial insight to the labor process
