JOB DETAILS:

Makes sure factory machines are properly lubricated to maintain operations, shall perform basic maintenance and repair duties.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check oil levels and lubricate moving parts of equipment throughout the factory.
• Changes oil in machine reservoirs; cleans and replaces oil filters.
• Ensures that automatic lubrication equipment operates correctly, replacing empty drums or malfunctioning lines.
• Fills automatic dispensers, oil cans, reservoir and oil cups.
• Identifies machines and equipment requiring lubrication system repair or maintenance through provided work orders and specifications.
• Completes logs, reports, or other documentation related to the installation, replacement, modification, or changing of machine parts and attachments affecting the lubrication system.
• Removes superfluous oil and grease from machinery, tools, and floor.
• Ensures correct type of lubricant is used as recommended by the manufacture or specialist.
• Adhere to maintenance best practices as per IAMP practices.
• Ensure lubrication storage room is always neat and free from source of fire.
• To maintain minimum lubricant stock.
• Adhere to Kilombero values (Accountability, empowerment, integrity, commitment, and inclusiveness).

Job Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum qualification, Fitter mechanics -Trade test II or equivalent.
• Minimum 1year of experience in lubrication of heavy-duty machines.
• Understands the principles and practices related to lubrication on high-speed machines.
• Ability to read and comprehend standard blueprints, machine, and process drawings for lubrication purposes.
• Ability to distinguish lubrication classes/types for different machines in the plant.
• Ability to diagnose machine/lubricant temperature and oil quality in the system.
• Basic skills to be able to assemble and install various type of high-speed mechanical equipment.

Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent contract.
