Lesso Africa, we are looking for a highly experienced and driven Finance Manager who will oversee all aspects of financial operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will lead the finance team, implement strong financial controls, and provide strategic financial insights to support the company objectives.
- FINANCE MANAGER-RESPONSIBILITIES;
- Develop, maintain, and oversee accounting policies, financial systems, and internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable, receivables, payroll, bank reconciliations, and statutory payments.
- Prepare financial management reports, financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and cash flow reports.
- Conduct financial analysis to support contract negotiations, capital investments, pricing decisions, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor financial risks, propose cost-reduction opportunities, and implement continuous performance improvements.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax requirements, and coordinate external audits.
- Manage relationships with auditors, financial institutions, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth.
- Oversee budgetary controls, analyze variances, and report significant findings to management.
- Maintain data integrity across all financial reports and ensure timely submission of required financial documentation.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and insights to the management team to support business objectives.
- Ensure flexibility in managing multiple priorities while adapting to organizational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS;
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as CPA or equivalent certification will add an andvantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in financial management, preferably in the retail.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial/accounting software systems.
- Strong knowledge of local financial legislation, tax compliance, and audit processes.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and mentorship skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
