Job Summary
Ifakara Health Institute is seeking a Field Interviewer who will be ststioned in Ifakara to provide basic care of patients and retention in care, as well as Counselling of HIV/TB Patients Drug dispensing at the CDCI clinic. This position is open for internal applicants, if you feel you meet the required criterial of this role you are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Counselling PLHIV about HIV infection, KIULARCO and/or other ongoing studies
- Performing U=U counselling daily
- Collecting clients concerns regarding the care they receive
- Perform Counselling on adherence and retention in care
- Supporting Enhanced Adherence Counselling
- Providing health education to PLHIV and clients attending CDCI.
- Working in a team and helping each other to create a comfortable working atmosphere
- Attend all compulsory meetings at CDCI and other IHI/hospital meetings according to schedules.
- Assist to plan, coordinate, and support research activities organized by IHI and other partners.
- Training and supervision of students from TTCIH, nursing schools, SFUCHAS, and foreigners if required.
- Any additional task by the PL and/or Director of SFRH when necessary
Desired Skills
- Knowledge in Lab technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
- Capable of building and sustaining relationships with senior professionals
- Professional attitude to work and clear work ethics.
- TB/HIV Counseling skills
- Security-minded and adherence to health research ethics.
- Emotional Intelligence.
Essential Qualification
- Certificate of Secondary School Education (Form IV/VI)
Desired Experience
- At least one-year experience in working with TB/HIV Clinic for research.
Prefered Language
- Excellent Communication Skills both English and Swahili.
