OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
To execute the Business Process Framework for resourcing materials, tools and services for a scheduled work order to commence on the scheduled date and to track material and resource data history.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Execute the Resource element of the Business Process Framework.
- Conduct daily review of the Material Status Report to ensure compliance with delivery due dates.
- Liaise with the Supply Chain department for alternative material resources and services.
- Liaise with Planner, Scheduler and First Line Managers to obtain material resources and services from other scheduled tasks.
- Identify and escalate all critical issues that threaten the successful procurement of resources, allowing the scheduling of work orders for completion by their required by date.
- Ensure correct receiving, checking, labelling and binning procedures are followed in respect of work orders.
- Specify the date to move resources to the work location.
- Monitor the delivery of Work Package Bins to ensure timeous off-loading and de-stuffing at the workplace and return of surplus bins to the collection point.
- Coordinate the return of tools and surplus materials.
- Provide feedback to the Scheduler at the schedule acceptance meeting on critical delivery issues that may affect the required by date.
- Monitor and escalate any issues that may affect or impact the quality of resource and material mobilization to execute the plan.
- Track and maintain material and resource data records at all times to support the planning function.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
- Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical Engineering, or Diploma in Mechanical, Automotive or Electrical Engineering.
- Valid driving license Class E.
Experience
- Extensive mining industry experience with a minimum of 5 years.
- Experience in operating a Forklift or Telehandler is an added advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong computer skills.
- Analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and identify resource trends to make informed decisions.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage complex schedules, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate resource data.
- Technical proficiency and familiarity with resource management software and data analysis tools.
- Ability to use CMMS, for example SAP system.
- Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders, understand resource needs and manage expectations.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve resource-related issues proactively.
