Chuo Kishiriki cha Elimu Dar es Salaam (DUCE) is seeking to fill one position for an Assistant Lecturer in Physics Teaching Methods.
Responsibilities or duties
- To carry out lectures, conduct tutorials, seminars and practicals for undergraduate programmes;
- To prepare and present case studies;
- To conduct and publish/disseminate research results;
- To participate/contribute in curriculum development;
- To recognise students having learning difficulties, intervene and provide assistance and support;
- To guide students in various academic issues;
- To participate in consultancy and community services under supervision; and
- To attend workshops, conferences and symposia
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Holder of Master of Education (majoring in Science Education or Physics Education) or a Master of Education in curriculum studies (majoring in Science Education), and Bachelor of Education in Physics or Bachelor of Science with Education (with one of the majors being Physics) or Bachelor of Science in Physics with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from a recognised academic institution. The candidate should possess a GPA of at least 3.8 points (out of 5 points) in the Bachelor’s Degree and a GPA of at least 4.0 points (out of 5 points) in the Masters’s Degree.
