WHEEL LOADER OPERATOR

Job Summary

The Wheel Loader Operator will safely operate wheel loaders for loading, transporting, and moving construction materials and other materials within the project site.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate wheel loaders safely and efficiently.
• Load and move soil, aggregates, construction materials, and other approved materials.
• Load trucks and maintain safe loading practices.
• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections.
• Check tyres, hydraulic systems, attachments, fluids, and safety equipment.
• Maintain safe operating distances from personnel and other equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and report faults.
• Carry out basic operator-level maintenance and cleaning.
• Maintain equipment-operation records where required.
• Follow site traffic-management, safety, and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• VETA Certificate or relevant technical qualification.
• Valid operator's licence/certification with Class F and G qualifications.
• Relevant wheel-loader operating experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of heavy-equipment safety.
• Strong awareness and concentration.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy construction environment.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: professional certificate
