Advent Construction is seeking an experienced Water Bowser Operator. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical expertise in the operation, maintenance, and repair of articulated dump trucks.
Qualifications:
– Valid license for operating/driving machines or water bowser vehicles.
– Basic driving course certificate from a recognized institution in Tanzania.
– Operator certificate with a final assessment from a well-known technical training school.
– A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in construction projects.
– A mechanic and maintenance certificate from a recognized institution in Tanzania (for mechanic positions).
– A defensive driving certificate is advantageous for driver applicants.
– A strong commitment to safety.
– Excellent navigational skills.
– All applicants must possess a NIDA ID or number and a TIN from the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
Main Duties
Responsibilities
• Operate company vehicles to make pickups and deliveries.
• Inspecting the truck to ensure that it is functioning properly and performing as intended.
• Keeping records of time spent working, materials used, and equipment maintenance issues.
• Help with loading and unloading vehicles.
• Complete pre- and post-trip safety and operations checklists and documentation.
• Use navigational technology to find and follow optimal routes.
• Assist with regular vehicle inspections, arrange maintenance when necessary.
• Refuel vehicles and ensure they’re always ready for use.
• Perform duty as instructed by the supervisor.
