People Project Co. Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a leading international hotel brand in Tanzania, renowned for its commitment to service excellence and exceptional guest experiences.

We are looking for professional, energetic, and customer-focused Waiter / Waitress to join a dynamic hospitality team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent food and beverage service, ensuring a welcoming guest experience, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service throughout the operation.

Candidates with Barista experience and knowledge of coffee preparation will be highly desirable, particularly those who are comfortable supporting beverage service during busy periods.

General Responsibilities:

As a Waiter / Waitress you are responsible to provide professional service to our guests, ensuring their restaurant visit will become a memorable dining experience whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

• Welcome and engage guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
• Present menus, explain food and beverage options, and provide recommendations where appropriate.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure they are communicated correctly to the kitchen/bar.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently and according to established service standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and respond promptly to requests.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, escalating issues where necessary.
• Present bills accurately and process payments in accordance with company procedures.
• Set up tables, service areas, and stations before service.
• Ensure food and beverages are presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperature.
• Maintain knowledge of the menu, ingredients, allergens, and available beverages.
• Assist with clearing and resetting tables efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas.
• Prepare and serve coffee and other hot and cold beverages to established standards.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other beverage equipment safely and correctly.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of espresso-based beverages such as espresso, cappuccino, latte, and americano.
• Maintain cleanliness of coffee equipment and the beverage preparation area.
• Assist with beverage preparation during peak service periods as required.
• Work closely with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
• Support colleagues during busy periods and assist with other operational duties as required.
• Follow company policies, food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and consistently uphold the company's service standards.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking service areas.
• Perform all necessary tasks to service food and beverage according to the standard of performance manual of the hotel.

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally have a diploma / degree in hospitality or a vocational training in food & beverage with previous experiences as a Waiter / Waitress in a high volume restaurant. A good command of English and additional skills, like guest service and interpersonal are essentials.
