Vocational Instructor – Basic Motor Vehicle Driving

Job Description

The Vocational Instructor – Basic Motor Vehicle Driving will provide practical and theoretical driver training, emphasizing road safety, defensive driving, vehicle operation, and traffic regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and practical driving instruction.
• Teach road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
• Conduct driving assessments and evaluate trainee performance.
• Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and roadworthy for training.
• Maintain trainee progress records and assessment reports.
• Promote safe driving practices and professional conduct.

Requirements

• Minimum NVA Level 3 in Basic Motor Vehicle Driving or a related field from a VETA institution.
• Vocational Teachers Training Certificate (VTTC).
• Valid driving licence appropriate to the vehicle categories being taught.
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in English.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
