Padre Pio College of Health and Allied Sciences is seeking to fill two positions for a Veterinary Laboratory Technologist.

Responsibilities or duties,

  • Collect, label, and process biological samples (blood, tissue, urine, feces).
  • Perform hematological, biochemical, microbiological, and parasitological tests.
  • Prepare reagents, stains, and culture media.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (microscopes, centrifuges, incubators).
  • Record and report test results accurately to veterinary officers.
  • Ensure strict adherence to biosafety and biosecurity protocols.
  • Manage laboratory waste disposal according to regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.

Qualifications or requirements 

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science.
  • Registration with the relevant Allied Health Professionals Council.
  • Precision and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of laboratory information systems.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Strong observational skills.

Experience needed,

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a diagnostic laboratory.
