EmpowerWork Consulting, on behalf of our client in the dairy industry, is looking for a Storekeeper responsible for managing the production packaging stores and cold room. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate stock management, proper storage of packaging materials and finished milk products, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards in line with food industry requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintain accurate stock levels of packaging materials, consumables, PPEs, and finished products in the cold room.
2. Oversee the receiving, storage, and issuing of packaging items to production, ensuring no delays in operations.
3. Supervise cold room operations including storage, stacking, temperature control, and product rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
4. Ensure all materials and finished goods are well-labeled, organized, and protected from contamination or damage.
5. Conduct monthly stock takes and reconcile physical counts with system records.
6. Maintain all relevant documentation including GRNs, Delivery Notes, Gate Passes, Invoices, and Bin Cards.
7. Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management.
8. Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with GMP, food safety, and cold chain management standards.
9. Implement proper handling of food-sensitive and perishable items.
10. Supervise and guide store assistants, cold room attendants, loaders, and off-loaders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Knowledge of inventory control and basic accounting principles is preferred.
3. 2–3 years of experience in food/dairy/beverage manufacturing environment.
4. Hands-on experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an added advantage.
5. Strong understanding of cold room operations and packaging material handling is essential.
6. Computer use (Ms. Excel and Ms. Word)
