JOB DETAILS:
General Requirements
- Citizenship: Must be a Tanzanian citizen with a National Identification Authority (NIDA) ID or number.
- Age: Form IV graduates must be 18–24 years old; those with specialized skills must be 18–28.
- Education: Must have a Form IV certificate or higher qualifications as specified.
- Health: Must be physically and mentally fit, verified by a government doctor.
- Height: Minimum height of 5’4” for women and 5’7” for men.
- Marital Status: Must be unmarried and have no children.
- Background: No tattoos, no criminal record, and no prior government employment.
- Discipline: Must demonstrate good character and discipline.
- Commitment: Willing to attend initial prison officer training and work anywhere in Tanzania Mainland.
- Self-Funding: Must cover personal expenses during the initial recruitment process until reporting for training.
- Certificate in Secretarial Studies.
