Sales Officers at KARAFU Enterprises Limited

KARAFU Enterprises Limited is seeking energetic, customer-focused, and attentive Sales Officers to join its Supermarket Department (Coastmart Supermarket) in Kibaha, Pwani. The position plays a critical role in store operations, including stock receiving, shelf merchandising, loss prevention, product quality checks, and delivering excellent customer service on the sales floor.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Merchandising & Inventory Handling

Receiving & Display: Receive incoming merchandise, verify quantities, and arrange products neatly on shelves according to display standards.

Quality & Expiry Control: Regularly inspect shelf stock for quality, proper labeling, and expiration dates to remove near-expiry or damaged items promptly.

Loss Prevention: Perform routine stock handling, maintain inventory vigilance, and assist in preventing loss or shrinkage on the supermarket floor.

2. Customer Service & Store Operations

Customer Support: Greet customers, offer assistance, and provide helpful guidance regarding product usage and locations within the supermarket.

Store Standards: Maintain clean, safe, and organized retail displays in full compliance with company operating procedures and hygiene standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

Education: Diploma or higher level of education from a recognized institution.

Experience: At least 2 years of practical experience in retail sales, supermarket operations, or marketing.

Key Competencies & Attributes

Retail Knowledge: Sound understanding of retail business operations, basic sales strategies, and customer engagement.

Customer Care: Exceptional customer service capabilities with a positive, helpful attitude.

Physical Fitness & Integrity: Honest, attentive to detail, physically fit for routine stock movement, and eager to learn.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Kiswahili and English.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: associate degree
