Role Description
The Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dar es Salaam / Arusha, responsible for driving revenue growth across Wellworth Collection’s properties. This role includes developing and implementing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and building strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, corporate clients, and other partners. The Sales Manager will monitor market trends, prepare sales forecasts, and create targeted offers and packages to attract and retain guests. Day-to-day tasks include conducting sales meetings and presentations, attending industry events, coordinating with marketing to align campaigns with sales goals, and preparing regular performance reports. The role also requires close collaboration with operations and reservations teams to ensure seamless guest experiences and consistent service standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management within hospitality, tourism, or related service industries.
- Strong skills in relationship building, client management, and negotiation to develop and maintain key accounts.
- Ability to create and implement sales strategies, analyze market trends, and prepare accurate sales forecasts.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders professionally.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, including managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Comfort with using CRM systems, MS Office tools, and basic reporting and analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of the Tanzanian tourism market and safari products is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Kiswahili and additional languages is an advantage.
